Airfryer Okra Fries

I decided to purchase a new airfryer! This is a quick and delicious recipe using an airfryer to make okra fries. The okra are not as crispy as they get when I grill them but the ends and seeds are crispy. They are more like roasted than crisp fried. Could go a few more minutes if looking for extra crispy. […]

Silverado, GMC & Chevrolet – iPhone – Can’t Watch Videos Solution

GMC & Chevy vehicles are awesome family vehicles…   except when you want to play movies on the entertainment system using an iPad/iPod/iPhone.  Why?  What went wrong? Well, when the iPhone 5 was released in 2012, Apple introduced a new “Lightning” connector instead of the old 30-pin connector (see photos below).  Both the 30-pin connector and the Lightning connector support video output […]

Organic Shampoo: Dandruff Control

It’s not awesome, but my family is full of flakes.  We used to use Head and Shoulders but wanted a better shampoo to combat our flakes.  I found one that really works and I’m excited to share it with you.  It is not 100% organic but it doesn’t have harsh chemicals.  It also smells great! Jason Dandruff Control 2-in-1 Shampoo […]

Kick up Flavor with Infused Oils #whole30

Infused oil is such a great flavor booster for sautéing anything (especially fish) and I almost always use it when I roast or grill vegetables with sea salt. We like things a little spicy and this oil packs flavor with minimal effort. I get mine at HEB and I noticed there is a way to purchase it online through their website.  […]

Avocado & Eggs #whole30 breakfast

I have made a commitment to myself to do the Whole30 program.  It’s basically eating whole foods like meats, fruits and vegetables while avoiding all grains, dairy and additives like sugar.  I have read the book, signed up for their newsletter and am now going to try and blog my way through this program. First, I’m really glad my local HEB […]

Headband Holder – 5 Minute Project

My girls decided to give themselves haircuts this week.  My husband was watching them and said they were being so good… so quiet.  They walked out and showed him their new hair and he figured out why I always run to check on them screaming “it’s too quiet, what are they doing”.  He thinks me crazy no more.  Needless to […]

Cereal: Made with Beans

We discovered this cereal and it’s delicious. It’s gluten free because it’s made from lentil, navy and garbanzo beans. It’s sweet without being too sweet and my kids love it. I found it at Whole Foods Market but its also available on Amazon.
